Through passionate drive and dedication to honoring the one we love and miss, say hello Foundation is working to make a difference in the lives of those in the industry. say hello Foundation was lovingly founded by a group of women connected by one incredible person, Corey Wilcox - a man who was unexpectedly taken from us far too soon. Corey dedicated 20 years of his working life to Maine’s hospitality industry, and the moment he was gone there was a shift felt by those who knew him in the industry. Corey created lasting relationships throughout his life because he was inclusive, giving, and selfless. He constantly strived to better the lives of his co-workers and the businesses he served, so why shouldn’t we do the same? Maine’s hospitality industry is fueled by a society of helpers; People who work long, hard hours and deal with incredibly small margins. They are the ones who step up for their communities and give whatever they can, even when it seems impossible. say hello Foundation’s mission is to empower these small business owners and their employees by easing some financial burdens, promoting freedom of autonomy, and creating an inclusive environment so this community of givers can thrive. It’s time for us to take care of the ones who feed both our bodies and our souls, who create spaces for all to feel like family, and who make this industry so special. |
